Year 3 visit the Stone Age

A Trip Back to the Stone Age!

Today, Year 3 were very lucky to welcome Cath, a historian, who gave us an exciting introduction to our brand-new History topic – The Stone Age! This is the first History topic we have studied in Year 3, and what a fantastic way to get started!

Cath took us thousands of years back in time, helping us to imagine what life was like during the Stone Age. She brought along some fascinating artefacts for us to explore, including a mammoth tooth that we were able to touch and feel! We also discovered what the landscape might have looked like and what life would have been like in the area where we live all those years ago.

It was a brilliant, hands-on introduction that certainly sparked our curiosity and got us excited to find out more about life in the Stone Age. We can't wait to continue our journey into the past!
