Welcome from the Principal

Welcome to Flamstead End School!

It is a privilege to be part of the Flamstead End School community and to serve as Associate Principal. Since joining the school in April 2024, I have been struck by the strong sense of care, ambition, and teamwork that runs through everything we do.

With over 20 years of experience in primary education, I have taught across most year groups and developed a particular passion for English – especially reading – and for creating a rich, inclusive curriculum that inspires, challenges, and supports every child to thrive.

Above all, I am committed to ensuring that our pupils feel safe, valued, and prepared for life beyond the school gates. I believe in helping children develop the resilience, kindness, and confidence they need to grow into well-rounded individuals who can navigate life positively and purposefully.

I also place great importance on building strong, positive partnerships between school and home, and truly value the trust and support of our parents and carers. Just as importantly, I recognise and appreciate the dedication and contributions of our staff, who bring so much energy and commitment to school life every day.

I look forward to continuing to work with our wonderful school community to ensure that Flamstead End remains a place where every child can flourish.

I am delighted to be the Executive Principal of Flamstead End and our neighbouring school, Oakview Primary, both thriving schools within the Generations Multi Academy Trust.

Flamstead End is such a special place – a welcoming and nurturing community where children feel safe, happy, and inspired to achieve their very best. I work closely with our Associate Principal, Alison Sawkins, and together we are proud to lead a school that combines high expectations for learning and behaviour with genuine care for every child.

Staying closely connected to the Flamstead End community is very important to me, and I look forward to continuing to share in the successes and achievements of all our pupils
