Year 5 Science - Space and Earth

Year 5 have been reaching for the stars in Science this term as we explore the fascinating topic of Earth and Space! Throughout the topic, the children have enjoyed learning about the planets in our Solar System, discovering how the Earth orbits the Sun and how the Moon orbits the Earth. To bring their learning to life, the children have taken part in a range of exciting practical activities, helping them to understand how the Earth and Moon move and how these movements affect what we experience here on Earth. The children have shown fantastic curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the topic, asking thoughtful questions, sharing their ideas and developing their scientific understanding. It has been wonderful to see Year 5 so engaged and excited about their learning. We certainly have some budding astronomers in our midst!
