Year 5 DT - Bridges

This half term in Design and Technology, we have been exploring the world of bridges! The children investigated different types of trusses, pillars and joins, learning how these techniques help to make bridges strong and stable. They then put their knowledge into practice by designing and building their own bridges for the A10, using the techniques they had explored throughout the unit. The children worked incredibly hard to create bridges that were both sturdy and attractive, carefully considering their designs and the materials they used. We have been really impressed with their creativity, problem-solving skills and the fantastic bridges they produced!
