Year 3 Geography Goes Camping! ⛺

This term in Geography, we have been reading and using the wonderful book Eddie’s Tent: And How to Go Camping by Sarah Garland to help us learn more about the coasts of the UK.

Today, we took our very own tent out onto the field and became geographers! We explored the area to find the perfect place to pitch our tent, thinking carefully about the features of the landscape and what would make a good campsite.

Just like Eddie in the story, we then created our own maps showing the route to our campsite. We thought carefully about the features we passed along the way and how we could represent them on our maps.

It was a fantastic way to take our Geography learning outdoors and put our map skills into practice. We had lots of fun thinking like geographers!
