In Maths, we have been learning to count and recognise numbers, and we incorporated this into our Garden topic by making our own spider models. The children used seed pots, googly eyes and pipe cleaners to create their spiders, making sure each one had the correct number of legs — eight! As the children counted out and attached each leg, they were developing their counting skills, one-to-one correspondence and number recognition in a fun and engaging way. This hands-on activity also encouraged problem-solving, fine motor development and mathematical language through play-based learning.Img e4571Pre-School Caterpillars and Butterflies
