Year 3- A beautiful day for fieldwork in the local area

Year 3 recently enjoyed a wonderful walk around the local area as part of their geography fieldwork. The children were investigating how and where people spend their leisure time and take part in recreational activities.

During the walk, the pupils carefully observed different places within the community, discussing how these spaces are used and why they are important. They showed great curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and making excellent observations about parks, open spaces, and other local facilities.

We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The children had a fantastic time exploring their surroundings, and it was lovely to see their enthusiasm for learning outside the classroom.

It was a valuable and fun-filled afternoon and Year 3 came away having learnt a great deal about their local environment and how people use it.
