Year 4 Pop-up books.

This half term in Year 4, the children have been exploring the exciting world of Design and Technology by creating their very own pop-up books. Inspired by a range of creative ideas, they have learned about different mechanisms and how these can be used to bring stories and scenes to life.

Throughout the half term, the children have experimented with a variety of techniques, including flaps, sliders, and more complex pop-up structures. They carefully designed their pages, thinking about how each mechanism would work and how it could enhance their storytelling.

In DT, the children developed their skills in planning, measuring, cutting, and assembling, showing great perseverance and attention to detail. They evaluated their designs as they went along, making improvements to ensure their mechanisms worked smoothly and effectively.

By the end of the project, each child had created a unique and imaginative pop-up page to add to their group book, showcasing the different mechanisms they had learned. Year 4 have shown fantastic creativity, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm throughout this topic and should be very proud of their achievements!03f43a79 22ee 43b1 9085 9e3b676ed2eb0379bff0 110e 4b41 a7bb 63e63e41db61A7cb44ff e213 45a1 b1b7 5d3771b101a7C95e23a1 2a45 45fe aa4d b9f4ee4cc471Ee32f52b 8ca5 463e 84ba 0fd5cf4a53c7F207456b 44c7 419b ba03 7cdde8bdac89548dabc8 0bf3 4535 bd84 db906ec67f37
