Year 3 Roman Workshop
BackYear 3 Step Back in Time with a Roman Workshop!
Year 3 recently travelled back in time to the days of the Ancient Romans during an exciting Roman workshop held in school. The children had a fantastic day exploring what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago.
Throughout the workshop, the pupils took part in a variety of hands-on activities. They created their own Roman artefacts, learning about the types of objects Romans used in everyday life. The children showed great creativity and care while designing their pieces and it was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they brought history to life.
The class also enjoyed taking part in a range of role-play activities. Pupils stepped into the sandals of Roman soldiers, citizens and workers, helping them to understand how different people lived and worked during Roman times. The role play encouraged teamwork, imagination and confidence as the children acted out scenes from Roman life.
It was a brilliant day of learning, and the workshop helped the children develop a deeper understanding of the Romans and their impact on Britain. Year 3 should be very proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent participation throughout the day!
