YEAR 4 TRIP – NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM TRING

TUESDAY 18^TH JUNE 2024

In preparation for the Science topic on Living Things and their Habitats we have planned a trip to the National History Museum at Tring on Tuesday 18^th June 2024. We will be leaving school at 9:15am and will return by 3:20pm.

In order for this trip to take place, we need to ask for a contribution of £16.00 per child. This will cover the cost of the coach and activity. Payment should be made on Arbor under the Year 4 National History Museum Tring trip item by 29 March 2024. If we do not receive sufficient contributions by this date, the trip may not be able to go ahead and will be cancelled.

Children will need to wear their school uniform with sensible shoes or trainers and depending on the weather they should have sunscreen applied before coming to school and bring a sun hat or waterproof coat as appropriate.  During the visit the children will be allowed to visit the Museum shop in small groups. The shop has a fantastic range of souvenirs, and we recommend bringing up to £6 to use in the shop. This all helps to fund the Museum’s programme of research, education and building maintenance.

Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle with them that can be refilled during the day. They will also need a home packed lunch and we would be grateful if you could ensure that this is disposable, and it does not contain sweets, chocolate, or fizzy drinks.

Alternatively, Aspens Services are happy to provide packed lunches for children, which will consist of a sandwich (cheese, tuna, or ham), vegetable sticks, fruit, and a cookie. If your child requires a school packed lunch, please complete and submit your request here no later than 28 May 2024.  If your child is not in receipt of Free School Meals then this will be chargeable, therefore, please ensure there is credit on your child’s dinner money account on Arbor.

Please log into your child’s Arbor account to make your trip contribution no later than 29th March 2024.  If you are having any problems making payment, financially or technically then please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
