Eco Workshops - Year 1 to 6

26th Apr 2024

We are pleased to inform you that Flamstead End Primary School has organised an exciting Eco Day, dedicated to raising awareness about the environment and promoting sustainable practices amongst our students.

The Eco Day aims to provide a unique learning experience for all children, where they will actively participate in a series of workshops throughout the day. We believe that by providing hands-on activities, we can inspire a deeper understanding of environmental issues and encourage our students to take an active role in making a positive difference.

The workshops planned for the day include:

  1. Recycling/Upcycling: Children will explore the concept of recycling and learn creative ways to repurpose everyday items.
  2. Habitat Heroes and Living Things: Students will have the opportunity to learn about various habitats and the importance of protecting them.
  3. Green Shoots/Healthy Living: This workshop aims to educate children about the significance of healthy living and making sustainable choices.

We kindly request a contribution of £2.00 per child to help cover some of the expenses involved in organising this event. While the school will be supporting a significant portion of the costs, the parental contribution will enable us to provide the necessary resources and ensure the success of the Eco Day.

Please make your contribution via the trip section of Arbor by Monday 22nd April. We understand that circumstances may vary, and if you are unable to contribute, please inform the office.

We are confident that this Eco Day will be both educational and enjoyable for our students. It provides a unique opportunity for them to engage with environmental topics, develop important skills, and foster a sense of responsibility towards our planet.

We appreciate your support in making this day a success. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
