Pre-School Applications

Applications for September 2021 pre-school are also open, offering morning, afternoon or all day places for children who will be aged 2 or 3 by 1st September 2021.

a) For children aged 2 by 1st September 2021 - some 2 year olds will be funded by government, depending upon the circumstances of their parent/carer (for eligibility criteria click here).

We welcome other 2 year olds to join our pre-school for chargeable sessions.

When your child turns 3 during the year, their pre-school place will be funded by government from the start of the school term following their 3rd birthday. At this time, subject to availability, you may increase sessions to the maximum 15 hours (under the free early education scheme), or to the maximum 33 hours 45 minutes - either chargeable, or mostly free if you are eligible for 30-hours free childcare and have a valid 30-hour code.

b) For children aged 3 by 1st September 2021, sessions will be free if taken under the 15 hours free early education (15 hours FEE) scheme. These places are usually requested by parents/carers who may have been unsuccessful with their first choice of Nursery/FEE provider application and prefer our pre-school to other offers they may have received.

Other parents/carers of children aged 3 by 1st September 2021 request these sessions to top-up existing nursery or pre-school places (either at Flamstead End School or elsewhere). The additional lunch/pre-school time is chargeable (11:45-15:30 £22.25) unless parents qualify for 30-hour provision (see 3).

Please apply for pre-school (options a. or b.) by clicking here.

Applications close Sunday 11th April, places aim to be offered by Friday 23rd April with parents/carers having one week to accept the offer.
