Eco Committee

New members of the Eco Committee enjoyed their first meeting this week where they discussed their duties for the upcoming year. They have pledged to uphold the high standards set by last years team and wear their beautiful new badges with pride!

In preparation for Switch Off Fortnight (date to be confirmed) pupils will create posters to encourage others around school to save energy and why this is important.  

Future Projects – Miss Richardson asked councillors what issues they would like to focus on during their time working on the Eco Committee. Some ideas put forward were: 

  • Gardening 
  • Wildlife and saving animals 
  • Plastic pollution 
  • Bird feeders 
  • Scare Crow competitions made from recycled materials.  
  • Litter picks 
  • A whole school photo competition in Spring (as done last year).  
  • Big School Bird Watch.
