Year 5 Saxon Workshop

Year 5 had fantastic time on Thursday 22nd February, when they became Anglo Saxons for the day! The children participated in activities where they learnt what everyday life was like in a typical settlement; children honed their skills in areas such as pottery, weaving, candle making, ironmongery, treating illness and injuries as well as learning how to fight off the invading Vikings. In the afternoon session, the children returned to 'modern day' and acted as archaeologists, looking for historic artefacts within soil samples.  To view more images visit Image Gallery...
