In Year 4 we have looked at the design of chairs and developed our own imaginative designs for a chair for a particular character.

In this topic the children applied knowledge about electric circuits that they acquired in Science by designing and making a simple torch. They had to consider who would use it and the conditions under which it might be used. The children also considered how the torch can be controlled by making their own switch.  They worked in groups of 3.  Click here to see more images.

In Year 4 we have been looking at Diwali (the festival of light) during our RE topic on Hinduism; we made Diva lamps using clay and decorated them with paint and sequins. We also made a wick using cotton wool and Ghee. To see more images please click here...
